Two Homeless Fulanis Arrested With Pistol

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested two suspects of Fulani extraction, Isah Mohammed, 20, and Inuwa Ibrahim 20, both of no fixed addresses, who fled on sighting the Police around PAMO University of Medicine in Oyigbo LGA.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka, “upon search, one locally made revolver pistol was recovered from them. 

“Also recovered was a Toyota Corolla saloon car with registration No. Bayelsa, NEM 881 GK, where it was abandoned by hoodlums who fled on sighting the team.

“Investigation is ongoing with the view to arresting the suspects at large.

The Command also arrested two suspected gunrunners: Ifeanyi Nneji, 29, and Idowu Peter, 32, at Oil Mill Junction area of the state.

Eboka said they were arrested as they made to sell a locally made pistol.

Peter and Nneji wanted to sell the pistol to Bariduanem Dim Justice, 34, when they were nabbed.

Eboka said: “Operatives of this Command on 10th August 2022, through Intelligence-led policing, arrested one Ifeanyi Nneji, 29 and Idowu Peter, 32, at Oil mill junction, in the process of selling a locally made pistol to Bariduanem Dim Justice, 34, a native of Baroko in Gokana Local Government Area.

“Exhibits recovered from them are two locally made double barrel pistol.

“They were all apprehended and are helping us in our investigation.”
